2019 Health Care Aide Program


Our program features hands on instruction in a friendly environment with welcoming & approachable instructors. We pride ourselves in creating a supportive culture & community around our education programs and strive to offer our students the best opportunities at future employment by providing additional training  & practicum placements at leading care facilities, including Red Deer Regional Hospital.

You must complete nine courses and the Provincial Comprehensive Exam to graduate. Courses are listed by term to show the recommended path to completing the program in eight months as a full-time student. The Provincial Comprehensive Exam must be completed within 60 days of the successful completion of Course 9.

  • Course 7: Special Activities for Clients with Various Health Conditions
  • Course 8: Health Care Aide Clinical Experience II
  • Course 9: Health Care Aide Consolidated Clinical Experience

  • HCA Provincial Comprehensive Exam
