Mentoring Program

The Health Care Aide Academy has a volunteer program in which current HCA students are matched with new international students. The goal is to assist in the transition of new students to the Health Care Aide Academy and enhance the new student experience.

Mentors are trained to respond to routine questions, e.g. housing, social events, getting around Red Deer. Mentor commitment involves continued communication with the new student through email, monthly meetings, and optional social activities.
